Founded in 1980, the Immune Deficiency Foundation(IDF) is the national non-profit patient organization dedicated to improving the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life of persons with primary immunodeficiency diseases. The dollars raised by IDF Walk for PI ensure that IDF can continue to:

  • Provide educational resources and programs at no cost to individuals and families.
  • Power critical patient-focused research that will ultimately lead to cures of all types of PI.
  • Lead the way in grassroots advocacy and fight to improve diagnosis and access to treatment.
  • Bring together the entire PI community to remind them that they are not alone.

You can help make a difference. IDF Walk for PI has raised over $4 million since 2013, funding vital IDF programs and initiatives that are helping people lead better lives and changing the future for the PI community. Because of the dollars raised by our walk teams and their supporters, IDF is now awarding research grants. Your participation in 2018 will ensure that efforts like these continue.

With each step you take with us, we are creating better lives and ultimately getting closer to cures for all types of PI.

In 2018, we have 12 National Walk Sites across the country, but we want the entire community to get involved from anywhere at any time! The IDF Walk for PI - Virtual Walk is the perfect opportunity to show your support even if you are unable to attend any of our National Walks. Virtual walk participants are still eligible to earn one of our fantastic prizes such as our IDF Walk for PI t-shirt, which is awarded to those who raise $100 or more! All you have to do is create a team, and start raising funds! Here's how:

  1. Register online by creating or joining a team.
  2. Personalize your page on your participant center!
  3. Send emails and ask for donations.

It is our mission to get the entire PI community involved in IDF Walk for PI, so your participation is absolutely critical. As a virtual walker, you are free to work around your busy schedule and can even host an event to celebrate your accomplishments, such as a BBQ, a potluck dinner, or a walk in your local park. Get creative! Be sure to take pictures of your events and share them on our IDF Walk for PI Facebook Page!

*If you live near one of our walk sites, we encourage you to register with that particular walk, instead of the virtual walk, even if you cannot be present the day of the event.
