Q. How can my company match my funds?
First, click here to see if your company matches employee charitable gifts. If you do not see your company listed there, check with your Human Resources Department and ask for a matching gift form. Make sure you include your Name, walk location, and team name, if applicable, so we can apply the match correctly.
The completed matching gift form can be mailed to: Immune Deficiency Foundation, 110 West Rd, Suite 300, Towson, MD 21204, or e-mailed to email@example.com.
Q. Will the matching gift display on my personal page?
Yes! As soon as IDF receives the matching funds from your company, we will post it to the website, and it will be added to your overall fundraising total.
Q. How do I turn in donations?
Funds raised online are automatically directed to the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). For funds raised offline, you can bring them to your walk site on the day of the event, though it is strongly preferred that you mail them in advance to:

Remember to include the name of the walker and team name in the memo portion of the check. Please allow two weeks from your post marked date before contacting IDF to confirm receipt.
Q. Who do I make checks payable to?
Please make checks payable to Immune Deficiency Foundation.
Q. How long does it take for checks to show up on my account?
It depends how many checks are coming in the office and how close it is to the event. Checks that are mailed prior to the event will take one-two weeks to be verified. Any donations that you hand in the day of the event can take four weeks to show up on your account. To avoid the wait, you should encourage your donors to support you online. Online donations are safe, easy, and instantly credited to your account.
Q. Are donations tax deductible and how do I get a receipt?
Yes. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Your cleared check or credit card transaction serves as a receipt. For your records, IDF's tax identification number is: 52-1214782.
Q. Can I use other fundraising sites, such as Crowd Rise, or social media, like Facebook donations?
Did you know that the best way to receive donations for your walk team is through www.walkforPI.org? This ensures that IDF is receiving the entire donation directly and immediately.
There are a variety of other tools that you can use to fundraise, including Facebook, Crowd Rise, etc. While most of these are great tools, they are not the same as a donation made directly to IDF on www.walkforPI.org. We strongly discourage the use of Go Fund Me, as donations go to the fundraiser, than the organization.
If you choose to fundraise with one of these other options, that’s great! We appreciate your creativity as you think of new ways to raise funds. For Facebook donations, you will need to provide the list of donors to IDF in order for us to add to your participant page. If you decided to create a Crowd Rise campaign, please contact IDF to discuss further.
Please note that IDF is unable to provide acknowledgement for donations that aren’t made directly to IDF through www.walkforPI.org.
